Patrick Moss has been heavily involved in percussion for fifteen years in a myriad of ensembles, taking on private drumset/percussion students ranging from 8-50 years of age. This self-taught bassist attended Appalachian State University and Berklee College of Music, playing in combos, symphonic groups, bands, and was a twice consecutive regional champion drumset soloist in annual Guitar Center competitions. Since 2005 he has filled a crucial role accompanying for dance department classes at George Mason University. 

Patrick taught at alma mater Chantilly High School (Chantilly, VA) from 2002-04 working with various ensembles in the program, including its WGI semi-finalist/consecutive AIA champion indoor drumline, award winning jazz bands and choirs, and BOA/VBODA class champion marching band. Since 2005 he has taught drumlines at South County HS (Lorton, VA), and was recently appointed Percussion Caption Head. 

Long influenced by Brian Caputo, Narada Michael Walden, Peter Erskine, Steve Gadd, Jojo Mayer, John Bonham, and Vinnie Colaiuta, he has studied with Brian Caputo, Gino Cioffi, Steve Houghton, and Bob Breithaupt as well as Kenwood Dennard and Sergio Belloti, among others, at Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA).

 Fusing his deep knowledge of playing styles and techniques across the spectrum, Patrick sometimes accompanies his private students on bass, for, "Music is made to be listened to and I feel young drummers often don't get a chance to understand what a great, locked-in rhythm section should both sound and feel like." He looks forward to cranking up the Sound drumline many, many notches.
