Alan Johnson

Brass, Percussion Arranger - VA
 

Mr. Johnson is the Director of Bands at South County Secondary School in Fairfax County, VA.  Prior to opening South County in 2005, he was at Chantilly High School also in Fairfax County.  While at Chantilly, the marching band was a consistent Bands of America Regional finalist, and the drumline won the Open Class Atlantic Indoor Association finals. 

 

Mr. Johnson holds a B.M. in Music Education from James Madison University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Music education from Shenandoah University. He is also a former member of the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps.  Additionally, Mr. Johnson writes drill and arranges music for several marching bands and drumlines in Virginia.
