Jerry is currently the  Director of Music for Highland County Public Schools in Monterey, Virginia where he is responsible for music curriculum for the school district including, general, vocal, and instrumental music. He is a graduate of James Madison University with a B.M. in Music Education. While at JMU he served as the Drum Major for the Marching Royal Dukes. He is a drill and show designer for several Virginia high school and college winter guards including the JMU Nuance Winterguard.  In addition, Jerry has served as a staff member and drum major instructor for the JMU summer band camps. Professionally, he is a member of the Music Educators National Conference (MENC) and the International Tuba Euphonium Association.
